STINA GUNNARSSON Stina Gunnarsson started with watercolors and graphics in the 90s, that's where she learned the basics. "Graphics is quite technical, it takes thought, planning and detailed work to achieve the image I envisioned. At the same time, it is extremely unruly; you never really know what will happen, this unpredictability is something to be aware of. In the watercolour, this unpredictability applies even more; a presence is required otherwise the image can very suddenly become overworked and boring. For me, acrylic paint then became a liberation where I could suddenly paint over and repaint, change and add, but at the same time it is important that I stop, reflect and not work for too long." The basics of graphics and watercolors have made Stina develop the special style in acrylic painting that she has today.
