Born December 7, 1934 in Stockholm, died March 7, 2015 in Stockholm, was a Swedish marine painter, illustrator and restaurateur.
Stig Fyring grew up in Stora Essingen in Stockholm. He studied at Konstfackskolan in the years 1956–1960 and then worked as a textile manufacturer and restaurateur before turning completely to artistic activities in the 1990s. Fyring worked in watercolour, in oil and with stencils and glass art and often in mixed media on driftwood, on packaging, on sailcloth and on bottom plates. He sought his motifs mainly in the archipelago.
