Helena Piippo Larsson

Helena Piippo Larsson, born and raised in Västerås, is an artist with a unique view of the organic. She collects materials, experiences and sensory impressions from her surroundings and brings them into her artistic creation. In the studio, she stores natural materials such as stones, branches, grass and plants, which are waiting to be integrated into works of art. In her sculptures and paintings, she investigates the complexity of the organic, where sticks, grass and plants form patterns and shapes that create veins. By focusing on small details, she searches for meaning and content, creates a kind of poetry or her own formulated logic. Helena mainly uses gouache painting as well as sculpture in wood, bronze and stone to express her artistic visions.
