For a few days, we take the pulse of the city, which is seething with culture and offers a wide range of sights and art in all its forms. Here you can find everything from Swedish theatre, Finnish world-famous design and mighty churches. How about Amos Rex - the underground museum or the Kiasma museum of contemporary art or the Oodi library? We visit the chocolate manufacturer Fazer and hear about its 125-year history. Day 1

  • Bus from Karlstad, stop for lunch before arrival at Värtahamnen.

  • Dinner on board in the ship's restaurant.

Day 2

  • Sightseeing of Helsinki, we get to know the city and if given the opportunity we visit the Temple Church, the tour ends with lunch.

  • During the afternoon we check in at our hotel.

  • Guided tour at Amos Rex, the art museum where the past,

    present and future meet.

  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

  • Guided tour at the Kiasma Museum, a museum of contemporary art.

  • Visit to Oodi library (for those who want), our tour guide goes

    with.

  • Lunch and the afternoon on your own. Maybe a visit to

    the Stockman department store or a coffee at café Fazer. Are you

    interested in Finnish glass, there are several stores to choose from.

  • Dinner at restaurant Sipuli, located at the beginning of the island Skatudden.

Day 4

  • Visit and guided tour at the Fazer visitor centre. Here we get to know everything about their chocolate production and maybe even taste a piece!

  • Lunch buffet is served at Fazer.

  • Who doesn't like the floral pattern from the design company

    Marimekko? We visit an outlet where you can find fabrics, clothes,

    porcelain etc.

  • Boarding and dinner on the ship.

Day 5

  • Arrival Stockholm Värtahamnen early morning.

  • Artist visit (who will be announced later) and then lunch.

  • Back in Karlstad during the afternoon.

Bus and ferry times with TallinkSilja

25/4: bus leaves Karlstad at 10.30, we stop for lunch.
25/4: Silja Symphony departs Värtahamnen at 16.45, arrival in Helsinki at 10.30 on 26/4.
28/4: Silja Symphony departs Helsinki at 17.00, arrival Värtahamnen, Stockholm at 10.00 on 29/4. 29/4: bus departs from Värtahamnen, we stop for an artist visit and lunch, back in Karlstad at about 5 pm. Detailed information about the departure is announced in the departure notice that is sent out approximately two weeks before departure.

The registration fee is 10% of the trip price per person and must be paid within 10 days of receiving the booking confirmation/invoice, the remainder is paid no later than 40 days before departure. Our tour guide, Michaela Jolin, Swedish actor and presenter in SVT, is frequently employed, mainly when it comes to art tours. For a long time she lived in Italy, where she studied art science and languages ​​in which she has a bachelor's degree in philosophy. Michaela is an authorized Stockholm guide and a trained tour guide. She has also worked as a guide at many museums in Stockholm, including Prins Eugen's Waldemarsudde.
