Born 1928 in Norrköping, died 1998 in Stockholm was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and professor of graphic art at the Royal Academy of Arts. Ever since his debut in the early 1950s, he was constantly noticed as a painter and graphic artist. During the 1970s he became very popular with the public when he made pictures of berries in large piles, as well as fruits and potatoes in old boxes and in enamel buckets. His still lifes showed the smallest details and very lifelike representations, where "every berry" could be counted. He had usually grown the objects himself or found them in nature.
